Description
This old smokehouse is located outside of Effingham, Illinois behind a large barn and farmhouse. A smokehouse is a building where meat or fish is cured with smoke. The finished product might be stored in the building, sometimes for a year or more. I can't tell if this one is in use or just a relic of the past, but it was a very interesting find!
