Artist's Description
These nodding flowers were in a partially woody prairie type area close to Mattoon Lake in Illinois. I have never seen these before, but they are supposed to be plentiful in Central and Northern Illinois. The nectar of the flowers attracts long-tongued bees primarily, especially bumblebees.
